2130 – It is the dawn of hyperspace travel and the age of the Quantum computer. Into this world steps 18 years old, Jared Speed, the son of a billionaire and the heir to one of Americas biggest communications companies. When he joins a trade trip to Alpha Centauri the journey goes awry as the SS Marconi along with its misfit crew and passengers are thrown fifty light years from Earth to the planet Amalfi. With nothing but their wits and a SHIVA quantum computer they must survive on a world so hostile that death stalks the band of survivors daily. Their only hope is a revolutionary experiment in quantum entanglement, but rescue is by no means guaranteed. To reach the survivors before they’re all killed Earth must send a rescue ship deeper into space than anyone has ever dared go, while Jared’s murderous Uncle and presidential candidate, will stop at nothing to make sure none of them ever see Earth again.
Amalfi is a survival tale set in a world where quantum computers are changing the speed of technological advance. It is a tale of exploring an alien world and of political intrigue . . . and you’ll not put it down . . .

Amalfi is the debut novel of Philip A Sutcliffe and the first in a series to come featuring Jared Speed.
