The Painting of Deceit by R. J. Grand @RJGrand

In this mystery, good example-setting, sister Ellie Fortier helps her wealthy parents raise her creatively mischievous, younger, brother Jeffrey Fortier. When grown, he is so creatively mischievous that he gets arrested. Officer Pat Russell is hoping Jeff receives a twenty-five year to life sentence.
While incarcerated, Ellie goes to visit him, but is not granted access. After attempting to see her brother a few times and continuously being denied, she becomes psychotically undone in the Ridgefield Police Department lobby. This gets the attention of the investigating, detective Wolfgang Haus.
Ellie has painted a self-portrait. Jeffrey is the only one who truly knows what lies beneath the brush strokes.
